I love this machine. we opted for a fridge without an ice maker (even tho i said we are going to need ice but anyway...) so this little machine has really saved our summer. For those that have not used an ice machine like this before, it takes a second to get your ice. Typically if i know i need ice that day, i turn it on around 8 and i will have a full tray about an hour later. i tend to keep it on for the hottest part of day. When i turn it off, any ice left over is put into a freezer bag for the next morning. So, please don't think you can buy a machine like this and have bags of ice within minutes. you have to give these little machines some time.The machine has also been pretty easy to clean and quiet. To drain excess water there is a little plastic cap on bottom that you simply pull out. Great product and I would definitely recommend.First thing I have to say is, this will not keep your ice from melting. I know most of these smaller ice makers don't do that, but I want you to go into this knowing if you leave ice in the box it will melt eventually.That said, I bought this as an anniversary gift to my wife and we both love it! When making the ice, the fans can get a bit loud. Nothing crazy, it is noticeable, but not distracting. Once it gets going it will make quite a bit of ice fairly quickly and my kids loved watching the ice form.If you're looking for an ice maker that is super easy to set up and makes a ton of ice, look no further.We like that it makes more ice than our last ice maker, but there's a learning curve with this one. It turns itself off, it doesn't always tell us when it's out of water and it makes ice slowly.Ice is wet when you transfer it to a bag or freezer bin, so you need a stainless scoop to break the ice up.I enjoy this item for just my wife and I it is perfect and does not take up a lot of room on the counter top.It works perfectly and it not noisy. Better yet, it is make with a metal exterior and is very sturdy! We fill about 8 small bags a day of ice and put them in the freezer! It is plenty for ice tea all day for two!I love the product, easy to use and good product.Great product. Makes ice very fast. It's very easy to use.We opened the box today and were impressed. It’s a beautiful ice maker, especially in the black SS finish!! Unfortunately, it only makes 9 -18 cubes, and then it shuts off, with the red light indicating the ice box is full, when it’s empty. We tried turning it on and off with no luck. Sending it back and buying something else.I have to say it's absolutely beautiful works like it should.. But it's loud! And over pricedmy sister bought a way cheaper one different brand and you can barely hear it this one is very loud like a old fridgeThat's my only gripe about this Ice machineOther than that it is fast at making ice and comes with a scoop but with nowhere to hang it, you just leave it inside the machineI've only had it for a day but filled a bag of ice last night. Worker perfectly! After getting it, let it sit for the hour on a flat surface, cleaned it, put water in, 5 min later the first 9 pieces fell. ****Day 2 made more ice and tried large size cubes, 1 got stuck, happy I was keeping an eye on it. Back to small size cubes only.I’m very disappointed with this product and the company that makes Igloo products. It died before the 1 year warranty was up. I have been trying to get in contact but keep getting bounced around. I will never buy or recommend to anyone to buy this garbage. It wasn’t cheap either. I found one this year @ Costco for $100 and I bet you it will outlast any Igloo product out there. FYI it’s been almost a month and still no resolution. I would like someone to stand by there product. I tried dealing with them so now Amazon, what can you do for me! ThanksReceived this and plugged it in after more than the recommended time it suggested. Got very warm on the side, made clunking sounds and did not make ice. I ended up sending it back and getting one at Canadian tire that is works like a dream!
