The hooks do not easily fit in the holder. The fit was so tight it had to be hammered in, so there is no removing it which makes it a pain then to transport. While the concept is great and the larger oval size fits my dog perfectly, I wouldn't recommend this set up and wouldn't buy it again. If you are getting it, buy the wire cover with it because the basket is not deep and it doesn't seem safe without the wire cover to hold your dog in. Wish I'd gone to the local bike shop and had them rig something up so my pup could ride with me.
